UI/UX Redesign Case Study · Screen 01 of 08
Little Caesars App — Home Screen
The current app opens to a full-screen promotional banner — zero utility, zero menu, zero context. We're replacing it with a layout that surfaces Hot-N-Ready status, store location, and the full menu before the user taps a single button.

❌ Current Problems
One ad owns the screen
The entire visible area above the nav is a single promotional image. No menu, no utility, no reason to stay.
No store context
Users don't see which location they're ordering from until 3 screens deep into the order flow.
Two nav systems
Hamburger drawer + bottom tab bar doing the same job. Confusion on every open.
Hot-N-Ready invisible
Their biggest brand differentiator — nowhere on the home screen.
ORDER is a 4-screen gate
Tap ORDER → Pick-Up vs Delivery → Location + time → Start Pickup Order → THEN menu. Users abandon before seeing any food.
No browse mode
Can't see the menu without starting a formal order. Kills impulse decisions.

✅ Redesign Fixes
Store always visible
Location pill in the header. One tap to change. Users never lose their context.
Hot-N-Ready front & center
Live status + wait time is the first card. Their brand promise made actionable.
Full menu above the fold
Category grid lets users browse before committing to an order. Zero friction to explore.
Promo right-sized
One card, not a full-screen takeover. Campaign gets visibility — utility wins.
Reorder is real
Two recent items visible, one tap to re-add. Repeat orders drive retention and revenue.
One nav, no hamburger
Raised ORDER button = clear primary CTA. No drawer, no confusion, no second-guessing.
Design Decision
Orange stays dominant
Full orange header preserves the brand's visual identity. White content cards below create a clear "brand zone vs content zone" — the transition feels intentional, not accidental.
Business Impact
Hot-N-Ready drives conversion
Showing real-time availability eliminates the #1 drop-off: users not knowing if pizza is ready and leaving. Live status creates urgency and the confidence to complete an order.

Screen 02 — Menu Browse
Tapping any category opens the Menu Browse screen — a net-new screen the current app doesn't have at all. Users see the full menu before starting a formal order. No friction, no commitment, no gate.
